Okay, we first reviewed Lookbook over a year ago, so it’s officially time to take another look at this theme to see if anything major has changed. Sometimes, themes don’t age well, the developer stops supporting it or something else happens to make it less of a winner. We’ll find out what happened with Lookbook in this post.
Lookbook provides you with an online portal site highlight your work with a straightforward, single page design that actually enables you photography to take the main stage, with no additional distractions you may not desire to have and to beautifully showcase for your photos or products. Lookbook is a masonry grid type of portfolio theme, or a mosaic portfolio. Your content will look incredible on this theme since the straightforward, modern design doesn’t stand in the way and your vision will really pop. I love the way masonry grid themes highlight the content without taking away from it in any way.
Another cool feature with Lookbook, you can sell digitally downloadable products with the built-in Sell Media plugin, like audio files and photos, eBooks. Another theme that offers the same functionality is this one, Sell Photos. Sell Media was handcrafted by GraphPaper Press themselves, so it’s integration is perfect, every single time. No need to fuss over other download plugins and wonder if they’ll conflict with your theme. You can add posts with unique custom formats like video, images, galleries, audio, quotes, links and more. Those custom post types help deliver you website an unique feel, where every post seems it’s best, no matter what the topic is. Desire to change up the logo, menus, widgets, headers, footers and text blocks? It is very easy with the integrated Theme Customizer, also hand coded by GraphPaper Press.
Lookbook is perfectly responsive too, which means a lot in the current internet market, because responsive websites, which appear pixel perfect on each size and style of device, tend to rank better on the SERPs. Google, Yahoo and Bing, they understand that receptive sites have a tendency to give greater user experiences, because a reader or user can access the material on the site, and get the content they need, regardless of how small or big their display size is. Lookbook will keep your readers happy, no matter the device they choose, from iPhone to desktop.
And it still looks great, so I think we’ll still recommend it to all our readers.
