It’s been over a year now since I first reviewed Salt & Pepper, from Tesla Themes. I decided it was time to revisit this one to see if it’s stood the test of time.
Maybe it’s something where my tastes have changed or it’s just something I didn’t notice before, but I actually pretty much hate the typography in this theme. That font, the sans serif one in titles, just doesn’t look good to me.
This is my original review of Salt & Pepper.
Say hey to Salt & Pepper, a delicious WordPress recipe blog theme from Tesla Themes. This theme is a perfect fit for anybody who’s blogging about food, recipes, restaurants and more. What does Tesla Themes have to say about this template of theirs?
Salt & Pepper is the ultimate recipes WordPress theme that works perfectly on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
With Salt & Pepper, sharing all your recipes and cooking tips with wide audience was never easier. This theme is perfect for chefs, cooking experts and even housewifes.
The theme includes a handy recipe filter, ingredients list and cook methods. It’s clean code and SEO optimization is written keeping in mind your sites good ranking on search engines. A One click demo install feature will help kickstart your website. Salt & Pepper allows you to easily add recipe methods and images of your recipes.
I’ve recently gone on a bit of a kick against Visual Composer and that ubiquitous plugin is included in this theme. It’s not enough for me to completely reject it, but the fact is, it’s a definite strike against it in my book. For recipe blogs, I still recommend it. If you’re running a restaurant, there are better WP themes out there.
